Dear Friends of Gymnastics

 

Portugal has been a reliable host to countless FIG World Cups in the past and will be welcoming the international Gymnastics elite of all competitive disciplines again in 2014.

 

The FIG is proud that Portugal and the City of Lisbon are hosting this Rhythmic Gymnastics tournament. After the inaugural World Cup here last year, this is the second edition of an event that we hope to see established on the FIG calendar.

 

As President of the FIG and on behalf of the entire Gymnastics community, I would like to express my gratitude to the local, regional and national Authorities, to the Portuguese Gymnastics Federation, to the Local Organising Committee, to your proud sponsors and your proud partners and to all the wonderful volunteers who will give their support to the event.

 

My wishes for success go out to the athletes, delegation members, and officials, as well as the public, in the hopes that the Lisbon World Cup 2014 will remain a pleasant memory for all those involved.
